Wemoto is a creative studio, run by Patrick Lotz and Stefan Golz as a company of friends with same interests, passions and mind sets. Coming from skate, music, art and street culture, our mental topic was and always will be the understanding and interaction between people. We set out to be a brand that captures subcultural influences combined with fashionable designs to create pieces that represent our values.
Since the beginning, Wemoto never followed the path of usual practices of the fashion industry. We always had our own pace and rhythm, that means: we are launching collections only twice a year and create small collaboration projects from time to time. We only produce what has been pre ordered by our customers and cover our own needs with necessary quantities. This way we avoid heavy overproduction, making sure that most of the pieces are finding their owner in the end of the season. Our collections always have built on one another, which brings the benefit that garments from different seasons can be combined very well.
The design process and creative development of our collections, catalogues, photo shootings, the seasonal deliveries, warehouse and webshop shipping, all take place in our headquarter near Frankfurt am Main, Germany. Next to our studio / warehouse, we’re running a small screen print workshop for special projects and quick strike actions.
When it comes to our products, we’re connecting with people globally and are getting close to them by visiting their own spaces and lives. To build long term relationships with our suppliers is an important part in our definition of a sustainable value chain. We’re working with a small group of partners in China, India, Germany and Portugal for more than a decade. We know each other very well and continuously visit each other on a regular basis to discuss our cooperation as an ongoing transparent relationship. Together with them, it is our goal to make Wemoto a more conscious and sustainable brand within the scope of our possibilities to act. For us, a part of our definition of sustainability is to create high quality products that can stand the test of time, that are worth to be repaired.

Our partners run certifications as SEDEX, WRAP, SA8000, Bureau Veritas and are listed members of BSCI or the Fair Wear Foundation.
